Senior iGaming Backend Developer

About the Role

Betsson Group is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our growing iGaming platform team in Malta. You will be responsible for building and maintaining high-traffic gaming systems used by millions of players worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop scalable backend services for our sportsbook and casino platforms
• Work closely with product and frontend teams to deliver new features
• Optimise database queries and caching strategies for peak performance
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers

Requirements

• 5+ years of PHP/Laravel or similar backend experience
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, Redis, and RESTful APIs
• Experience in regulated iGaming environments is a plus
• UKGC or MGA compliance knowledge preferred
